I’m a student at the moment, but I plan to do something with this life I have XD

Hmm, drawing stuff (not brilliantly but hey), writing poetry, stories and stuff like that, uh, songwriting, and yeah.
What annoys you the most, in general?
The way love works, in that I always fall in love with someone who doesn’t love you back.
Where in the world do you live?
New Zealand, I sure hope you’ve heard of it from somewhere *eyetwitch*
What part of your country do you live in?
The city but have a second home in a more suburban area.
Do you consider yourself to be psychic, in any way?
No, I don’t. My belief is that psychic stuff is demonic. That’s the way it’s staying.
Do you consider yourself to be of above-average intelligence?
Actually, yes. I do achieve nice marks in school and stuff like that.
Is your living space (e.g. room/house/apartment etc furry themed?
Not yet, haha. It will be one day, though.
What kind of music do you like?
Hmm, a lot of what I like, people my age have never heard of. Stuff like Brian Eno. But it’s more the songs than the artists. I’ll like only one song in an entire album and hate the rest quite a lot of the time XD
What do you do to relax/wind down?
Hmm, I chew things and lie down on the floor. Weird, I know.
Do you draw/write/make furry things?
I draw some furry things, write furry things and make them, too.
Have other furs seen them?
Not yet.
Have non-furs seen them?
A few. They don’t really geddit XP
Have they been shown somewhere?
No but I’m going to be showing a few of the Art and English faculty at school some of my work and see if they understand it.

Yep!

Being furry
How does furriness influence your life?
It gives me a strange body language that only other people can notice. For me it’s pretty subconscious. It also influences what people think of me, but oh well. Screw that.
Do you think about furriness more than anything else?
I think about it a lot but there is more significant stuff in my life.
Was your furriness evident from a young age?
Well. I walked digitigrade for three years and have always loved animals. I don’t know whether the digitigrade thing was because of something else or furriness. Either way it stuffed up my calf muscles.
What do you like most/least about being furry now?
Most, how different and free it is. Least, how people think of it. It can vary so much that people just take the full load as a stereotype.
What is/are your 'totem' animal(s)?
You mean like a phenotype, right? A fox, but a subspecies I created, called a sly.
How, and when, did you realise your furriness?
Around October 2007 I came across the article on Wikipedia and eventually found some other pages that were telling me the story of my life XD
Was it by accident, or did you strive to discover why you felt this
way?
It was accidental but once I found out I was kinda worried.
Do you think that your (human body resembles, in any way, an animal?
My feet could; they’re very small for my age and build.
Do you think that your personality resembles that of any animal/furry?
According to one of my best friends, I’m very catlike.
Would you prefer to not feel furry?
No way! I love it and it’s really fun!
What kind of furry interests/hobbies do you have?
Fursuiting, roleplay, drawing, writing stories with furry characters based off people in real life, furry character creation based on my friends.
Do you ever doubt how furry you are?
Yeah cos I’m not into yiff like a lot of furs tend to be these days, but I’m still sure I’m furry.
Are you ashamed/proud of being furry?
I’m very proud of it, especially at school, where you can freak people out and be like “it’s normal!”
Have you ever worried about your 'furriness'?
Yeah, when I first found out, cos I thought it could change my... preferences... or beliefs.
Did you ever think you were childish/weird/confused?
Childish, no. Weird, I’ve always been weird, and confused, yeah!
Did you ever attempt to seek professional advice/write to a problem page?
Actually I did. Now that I know that furries exist all around the world, I know I’m not mentally ill.
Have you ever had a furry dream?
I dreamt I was at some kind of con but it was pretty vague. I also dreamt I went plushie shopping, which is strange as I’m not really into plushies...
Do you have them on a regular basis?
No.
Do you wear 'furry' clothes?
I have a cosplay hat that could be considered furry, and some brown paws I sometimes wear. I’m getting a great blue fox aviator hat and some commish paws and tail 8D I also sometimes wear a studded collar, but haven’t found a really comfy one that isn’t made for a large Rottweiler, haha.
How do you act furry in public/in private/with friends?
In public, unless with friends, I don’t. In private, I’m just kinda neutral cos I’m mostly drawing or writing, and with friends, I’m pretty cuddly-snuggly and inquisitive.
Do you collect items relating to your totem animal?
No, as I’m a sub-species of fox and blue, black and white.
Do you collect miscellaneous furry items?
I am yet to go to this great shop (Goods2U Happy Save Store) as they sell little tail keychains and some pretty weird costuming items I can adapt for temporary stuffs.
Has a major event in your life ever been affected by your furriness, or had a furry theme?
Not yet, but the next non-uniform day (a massive event at our school) will give me a chance to really shine furriness!!
Do you think you are furry for a reason, if so, why?
I think I’m generally a misfit, but apart from that, no major reason XD

Being 'truly' furry
What would you most/least like about being 'truly' furry?
Uh, possibly not being able to speak, but generally furries can, no? I’d love to be able to just act animal without people staring 8D
Do you ever worry about being furry not being as you imagine?
No, I don’t.
Would you worry about being shunned by society/friends/family if you became 'truly' furry?
Yes, by society but not family or especially friends.

No, I wouldn’t, only because it’d be too normal and after a while you’d tire of it all, I guess.

Well, no, but I do fantasise about being in partial suit and that being the norm.
Describe your furry alter ego.
Wow, okay. Backgammon is a friendly, outgoing black, blue and white fox subspecies called a sly. She was involved in the Broken War when she was slightly younger, and I’m lazy, so when I get to it, I’m going to really work on Backgammon’s character development!
Is your furry alter ego a carnivore/vegetarian/ominvore?
An omnivore but more directed towards carnivorous.

Furry fandom
What furry things do you watch/read?
I watched a lot of old Warner Brothers stuff, especially Animaniacs, but I haven’t gotten into comics yet. I shall X3

Religion
Are you religious?
I’m not exactly religious, I’m a disciple of Christ.
What religion are you?
A non-denominational Christian.
Do you think that being furry is like a religion?
No, I don’t. I think it’s a personality trait in a lot of ways.
Does being furry make you question your religion/beliefs?
No, it doesn’t. I believe I can be a Christian and still keep the furriness, too.

Other people
Are there others in your family who are furry?
No, I don’t think so.
Do you worry about people knowing about your furriness?
Sometimes... Some people at school will be harder to get past without some pretty nasty comments if they find out.
Are there people who are intolerant of your furry lifestyle?
Yeah, a couple of people who find it pointless and strange.
How do you cope with these people?
Screw what they think, I’m myself and not someone else.
Do you know someone who might be furry, but isn't aware of it?
Yup, one of my schoolmates!
How can you tell?
She’s constantly roleplaying, knows about the fandom and shows really good interest in furry stuff. Little does she know she also has some animal-like personality traits, too.
Have you ever introduced somebody into furrydom?
No, I don’t really want to, either. People get different things out of the fandom, so I want people to discover it for themselves.
Is your Significant Other furry?
I’m not in a relationship at the moment, and if I did get into one, it would be very unlikely that he was furry.

No, because you need more than furry variety for a good world.

The Internet
What newsgroups do you subscribe to?
None as of yet.
What furry-internet activities do you do?
I look for cool art and fursuiting resources, either for fun or looking for commissioners for my paws and tail.
Do you access FurryMuck (or similar, to live out a virtual furry life)?
No, it confuses me, and I can’t access Furcadia due to my computer.
How important do you think the Internet is in your furry lifestyle?
Very important, as there are barely any furs in New Zealand.

Haha, no.

Not yet, but I’m working on one, very slowly.

Uh, through Wikipedia, funnily enough. I surprise myself sometimes!

Not yet.
Do you often go to furry gatherings?
I plan to once New Zealand gets something going.
What activities do you parcipitate with other furries in real life?
Now if I could, I think we’d go out for coffee in furry clothing and discuss fursuiting and other furry stuff.

Animals

I own three cats and one dog. I love the cats and have come to dislike the dog somehow.

Now that would be interesting, but no thanks.

Yes, I do.

Possum hunting, yes. Apart from that, no.

Yes I suppose so, but really it’s the world slowly coming to an end.

Yes I am. Especially vivisection and such.

Still cats, or large dogs like huskies.

Yeah, I am! I draw quad animals a lot, whether real or not.
